Rumex floridanus, also known as Florida dock, is a perennial flowering plant in the Polygonaceae family. It has upright stems and lanceolate leaves with lateral veins. The flowers are arranged in a whorled pattern, with closer whorls towards the top of the plant. The flowers have tepals and are deltoid in shape, while the fruits are brown achenes. This species is native to the Southeastern United States, specifically in states such as Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. It is commonly found in wetland areas such as marshes, swamps, and bogs. R. floridanus was first described by Carl Daniel Friedrich Meisner in 1856 and is believed to be closely related to R. verticillatus, although some sources consider them to be synonymous.
