Polygonum striatulum, also known as striped knotweed or Texas knotweed, is a plant native to Texas but also grown as an ornamental plant in other areas. It can be found in sterile prairies, granitic soils, and areas with seasonal moisture at elevations between 100-700 meters. This perennial herb spreads through underground rhizomes and has lanceolate leaves that can reach up to 35mm in length. The upper leaves of the plant are larger than those closer to the ground. Its inflorescences, located at the top of the plant and on the tips of branches, produce 2-6 white to pinkish flowers.
