Polygonum polygaloides is a North American species of flowering plant in the buckwheat family. It is native to much of western North America, where it can be found in many types of moist habitat. It is an annual herb with slender, wiry green stems and linear or lance-shaped leaves. The flowers are mainly located in clusters around the stem tips and are white, pink, or red. It is divided into a number of subspecies, including Polygonum polygaloides subsp. confertiflorum, Polygonum polygaloides subsp. esotericum, Polygonum polygaloides subsp. kelloggii, and Polygonum polygaloides subsp. polygaloides.
