Eriogonum heermannii, also known as Heermann's buckwheat, is a species of wild buckwheat found in the southwestern United States. It can be found in rocky slopes, desert flats, and dry washes in states such as California and Utah. This shrub varies in appearance and can range from a small, rounded patch to a sprawling bush up to two meters tall. Its branches are intricately branched and have small, woolly leaves. The plant produces tiny flower clusters that are less than three millimeters wide and come in white, yellow, or pink. The leaves do not last long, leaving behind a naked and weedy form.
