Eriogonum douglasii, also known as Douglas' buckwheat, is a species of wild buckwheat native to the western United States. It can be found in the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Great Basin. This plant has a mat-like growth habit and its leaves are covered in woolly hairs. The inflorescence, or flower cluster, is cream, yellow, or rose-pink in color and has protruding stamens. It is commonly found in grasslands, sagebrush, woodlands, and pine forests. There are three varieties of this species, including one that is endemic to Elko County, Nevada. This plant is similar to E. thymoides, but can be distinguished by its more lance-shaped leaves and different flower color.
