Eriogonum diatomaceum is a species of wild buckwheat endemic to Nevada in the United States. It was discovered in 1997 and described to science in 2002. It has spreading stems, oval leaf blades, and cream-colored flowers. It is closely related to Eriogonum ochrocephalum and grows on diatomaceous clays. There is only one population of the plant, split into 15 occurrences and containing less than 50,000 individuals. It is threatened by mining, off-road vehicle use, and livestock grazing, and is a candidate for federal protection.
