Eriogonum dasyanthemum, also known as chaparral buckwheat, is a wild buckwheat species found only in California's Northern Coast Ranges. Despite its limited range, it is a common plant in its native habitat. This annual herb has thin, fuzzy stems and small leaves, and can reach a height of 60 centimeters. Its pink flowers grow in small clusters on the branches and bloom from May to October.
