Chorizanthe watsonii, also known as Fivetooth Spineflower or Watson's Spineflower, is a species of flowering plant in the buckwheat family. It is an annual herb native to the western United States, specifically the Mojave Desert region. This plant can be found in various desert plant communities, including sandy and gravelly areas, as well as grasslands and woodlands. It typically grows to about 2-15 centimeters tall and produces small yellow flowers surrounded by five bracts with hooked awns. The flowers bloom from April to August and can be found at elevations of 300-2400 meters. In some areas, the plant may have three stamens instead of the usual five.
