Spergularia media, also known as media sandspurry or greater sea-spurrey, is a flowering plant in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is native to Eurasia and the Mediterranean, but has been introduced to other parts of the world, where it is often considered a common roadside weed. It can grow in various habitats, including disturbed areas and places with saline substrates like salt marshes and beaches. This annual or perennial herb has a narrow stem with fleshy linear leaves and produces small white or pink-tinged flowers. Its tiny seeds have winged margins and it has 10 stamens. In North America, it is often found along heavily salted roads in the winter.
