Sagina maxima, also known as stickystem pearlwort or thick-stemmed pearlwort, is a flowering plant in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is found along the west coast of North America, from Alaska to California, in various sandy and rocky coastal environments. This small perennial herb has fleshy leaves and thick stems, with pointed leaves measuring 1-2 centimeters in length. Its solitary flower has five sepals and five small white petals. There are two subspecies of this plant, distinguished by the arrangement of hairs on the stem.
