Cereus vargasianus is a type of cactus that is commonly found in Peru. It grows in a tree-like shape, with a short trunk and cylindrical, green shoots that can reach heights of 7 to 8 meters. The shoots are divided into segments and have four to five wavy ribs with elongated gray areoles. The cactus also has strong, brownish thorns that can reach lengths of up to 1 centimeter. Its white flowers are 8 to 10 inches long and its yellow fruits are ellipsoid in shape and contain a white pulp. This species of cactus is known for its unique appearance and can be found in various regions of Peru.
