In English it is known as white snowplant.
Iresine angustifolia is a plant in the genus Iresine of the family Amaranthaceae. It is an herbaceous plant, usually growing to 1.5 meters, with many branches and leaves between 5 and 10 cm long. It is found in the southwestern United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, West Indies, and some Caribbean islands, usually on banks near the coast but also on thickets and dry districts. It is not cultivated, but it is used in traditional herbal medicine for treating insect bites. It was first identified by Bengt Anders Euphrasén on Saint Barthélemy in 1788 and its common name in English is white snowplant and in Spanish is arlomo.
