Aloinopsis malherbei, also known as the giant jewel plant, is a succulent species native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. It is commonly found in the area around Calvinia and Loeriesfontein and is known for its thick tuber and yellow flowers. Unlike other Aloinopsis plants, it only has tubercles at the tips of its leaves. This plant was named after Marthinus Lourens Malherbe of Soekershof.
