Reseda minoica is a species of flowering plant found in the eastern Mediterranean region. It was described in 2013 and is often confused with other closely related species. However, it can be differentiated by its floral parts. It is named after the Minoan civilization and is found in Turkey, Cyprus, and Crete. This plant is important because it is the maternal species of common mignonette, a popular source of fragrance since Ancient Roman times. It is an annual or perennial herb with three-lobed leaves and racemose inflorescence. Phylogenetic analyses have shown that it is the ancestor of R. odorata, one of the oldest known sources of perfume.
