Draba lactea, also known as the Lapland whitlow-grass or milky whitlow-grass, is a common flower found in the high Arctic and mountainous regions of Norway, Montana, Canada, and Greenland. It is a small plant, growing only 2-5 cm tall and forming clumps. The flower stems are smooth and the leaves have a mix of stellate and simple hairs. The flowers are pure white and bloom from June to August. This species of Draba can be found in both dry and moist areas such as meadows, fields, and prairies. While most Draba species have a widespread distribution, there is still a lot of variation within this group.
