Plagiobothrys acanthocarpus, also known as adobe popcornflower, is a flowering plant found in California and parts of Mexico. It grows in moist areas with clay soil, such as vernal pools. This annual herb has a stem that can be either spreading or erect, ranging from 10 to 40 centimeters in length. Its leaves are linear or lance-shaped and covered in rough hairs. The plant produces small flowers with yellow-throated, five-lobed white corollas less than 3 millimeters wide. Its nutlets are covered in long prickles and bristles.
