Heliotropium macrodon is a flowering plant found in central Brazil and belongs to the family Boraginaceae. It was first described as Schleidenia macrodon in 1857 by Georg Fresenius and later transferred to the genus Heliotropium by Max Gürke in 1894. The plant was collected by English explorer William John Burchell in 1828 and was originally described as Parabouchetia brasiliensis by Henri Ernest Baillon in 1887. However, it has now been synonymized with Heliotropium macrodon. This slender herb has small narrow leaves and produces small flowers. It is considered to be a rare species.
