Hackelia cusickii, also known as Cusick's stickseed, is a flowering plant in the borage family. It is native to the Modoc Plateau in California, Nevada, and Oregon, and grows at elevations of 1,300-1,950 meters. This perennial herb has a height of up to 50 centimeters and is covered in stiff hairs. Its leaves are mostly found at the base of the plant, with a few smaller ones on the stem. The plant produces blue flowers with white appendages from May to July, and its fruit is a cluster of prickly nutlets. It can be found in subalpine forests, juniper woodlands, and alpine habitats.
