Hackelia brevicula, also known as Poison Canyon stickseed, is a rare flowering plant found in eastern California. It is native to the Inyo Mountains and White Mountains, growing at high elevations on dry rocky slopes and other habitats. This plant is listed as a Vulnerable species and is on the California Native Plant Society Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants. It is a perennial herb with a height of 20 to 60 centimeters and is covered in stiff hairs. The leaves are mostly found at the base of the plant, with a few smaller ones on the stem. The flowers are light blue with white appendages and the fruit is a cluster of prickly nutlets. The bloom period for this plant is in July.
