Scaevola platyphylla, also known as broad-leaved fanflower, is a shrub found in the Goodeniaceae family and is native to the south-west region of Western Australia. It typically grows to be 0.3 to 1.3 meters tall and produces blue to purple flowers from August to January. The species was first identified by botanist John Lindley in 1839 in his work, A sketch of the vegetation of the Swan River Colony.
