Scaevola glandulifera, also known as the viscid hand-flower, is a shrub that is native to Western Australia and belongs to the Goodeniaceae family. It can grow up to 50 cm tall and has smooth or toothed leaves that are 2-9 cm long and 1-10 mm wide. The flowers are deep blue-purple in color and have short hairs on the outside. It blooms from August to December or January. This plant is found in various regions of Western Australia and was first described in 1839 by Augustin Pyramus de Candolle. The genus name, Scaevola, is derived from the Latin word for left-handed, in reference to a famous left-handed Roman, while the specific epithet, glandulifera, means "gland-bearing".
