Goodenia scaevolina is a perennial subshrub that belongs to the Goodeniaceae family and is found only in the north-west region of Australia. It has egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves and produces blue flowers in clusters. The plant is sticky and can grow up to 80 cm in height. It was first described in 1859 and its name, scaevolina, means Scaevola-like. This species is commonly found in scrub areas with shallow, stony soil in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the north-west of the Northern Territory. It is not considered a threatened species by the Western Australian and Northern Territory governments.
