Goodenia quadrifida is a unique species of flowering plant that belongs to the Goodeniaceae family and is only found in a small area of the Northern Territory. It is a small herb with smooth leaves and produces clusters of purplish-brown flowers. This plant is similar to another species, G. purpurea, but can be distinguished by its four-branched style. It was first described in 1979 and given its current name in 1990. Goodenia quadrifida is considered vulnerable under the Australian Government's conservation act, but its status is uncertain under the Northern Territory Government's act due to taxonomic uncertainty. This plant is rare and can be found in specific soil types in Arnhem Land.
