Goodenia occidentalis, also known as western goodenia, is a short-lived herb found in the drier regions of southern Australia. It has scaly, lance-shaped leaves and produces yellow flowers with a brownish centre in racemes. This plant was first described in 1980 and is mainly distributed in Western Australia, but has also been found in the Northern Territory, South Australia, and New South Wales. While it is not considered threatened in Western Australia, it is classified as near threatened in the Northern Territory and endangered in New South Wales.
