Goodenia effusa is a flowering plant that belongs to the Goodeniaceae family and is found only in Queensland. It is an annual herb with multiple stems and long, curved leaves. The flowers are yellow with brown veins and are arranged in racemes. This plant typically grows up to 40 cm in height and blooms from March to May. It was first described in 2015 and its name, effusa, refers to its diffuse, many-branched habit. Goodenia effusa is mainly found in open woodlands in the Chillagoe, Lynd junction, Croydon, and Dimbulah areas of Queensland. It is not considered to be under threat and is classified as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
