Goodenia durackiana is a unique flowering plant that belongs to the Goodeniaceae family and is found only in the north-western region of Australia. It is a small herb with elliptic to oblong leaves that have coarse teeth on the edges. The plant produces yellow flowers in racemes and blooms mostly from March to May. Its fruit is a spherical capsule and it grows in grasslands on black, cracking soils. This species was first described in 1990 and is named after Kim Durack, who collected specimens in 1945. It is considered a rare plant and is classified as "Priority One" by the Government of Western Australia Department of Parks and Wildlife.
