Phyteuma betonicifolium, also known as betony-leaved rampion, is a flowering plant in the Campanulaceae family. Its name comes from the Greek words for "plant" and "what is planted" and refers to its betonic leaves. This species has two subspecies and is found in the Alps, from France to Italy and Germany to Austria. It thrives in subalpine and alpine zones and can grow up to 70cm tall. Its leaves are heart-shaped or rounded at the base and its flowers are light blue-violet and produced in dense panicles. The flowering period is from June to August and the plant produces capsules with small seeds.
