Cyanea remyi, also known as Remy's cyanea, is a rare flowering plant found only on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. It is listed as an endangered species in the United States and is known as haha in Hawaiian. The plant was rediscovered in 1987 after being poorly known for many years, but its population has been greatly reduced due to events like Hurricane Iniki and flash floods. It is a shrub that can grow up to 2 meters tall and has deep purple flowers. It thrives in wet forest habitats and is often found alongside other Hawaiian endemic flora. However, its habitat is threatened by factors such as feral pigs and invasive plant species. Currently, there are estimated to be only 24 individuals of this species divided among three populations.
