Verbesina dissita, also known as bigleaf crownbeard, is a rare flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is primarily found in northern Baja California, Mexico, with only 23 known occurrences. It is also present in a small section of the coastline in southern California, but is at risk of being destroyed due to development and other threats such as erosion and competition from non-native plants. This species is listed as threatened by the United States government. It is a subshrub that can grow up to a meter tall, with oval leaves and sunflower-like flower heads. Its fruit is a brown achene with a pappus at the tip.
