Taraxacum aphrogenes, also known as the Paphos dandelion, is a small herb that grows up to 12 cm tall. It has fleshy, oblong leaves that are divided into unequal lobes and yellow flowers that bloom from October to December. This plant is endemic to Cyprus and can be found in the Paphos District, particularly in rocky and sandy areas near the coastline. It is most commonly found in the Akamas area, but can also be seen in other locations such as Kato Paphos, Yeroskipou, and Petra tou Romiou. The Paphos dandelion is a perennial plant that produces achenes with a pappus, making it easily identifiable.
