Symphyotrichum frondosum, also known as short-rayed alkali aster, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family native to western North America. It can grow up to 140 centimeters tall and has oval-shaped leaves and small arrays of pale pink or lavender flowers. It is found in wet habitats, particularly in alkaline or saline conditions, in areas ranging from British Columbia to New Mexico. This plant was previously known as Aster frondosus and is now classified as Symphyotrichum frondosum.
