Sphaeromeria cana, also known as Artemisia albicans, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is commonly called gray chickensage and is found in the western United States, specifically in the Sierra Nevada, eastern California and Nevada, and Steens Mountain in Oregon. This plant grows in dry, rocky mountain habitats and has a distinct gray-green color and woolly fibers. Its leaves are linear or lance-shaped, and its inflorescence is a cluster of flower heads with yellow disc florets. The fruit is a ribbed achene.
