Senecio serra, also known as tall ragwort or sawtooth groundsel, is a flowering plant in the aster family native to the western United States. It can be found in various habitats, including sagebrush and woodlands. This perennial herb has a single erect stem or a cluster of stems growing from a woody caudex, reaching heights of over two meters. The plant is hairless and can appear fuzzy when young, with green to red-tinged leaves that are lance-shaped and up to 20 centimeters long. The inflorescence is a spreading array of many flower heads, each containing yellow disc florets and 5 to 8 yellow ray florets.
