Pyrrocoma lanceolata, also known as lanceleaf goldenweed, is a flowering plant found in western North America. It can be found in a variety of habitats, including disturbed areas and wet, alkali soils. This plant is a perennial herb with reddish stems that can grow up to half a meter long. Its leaves are lance-shaped with sawtoothed edges and can reach up to 30 centimeters in length. The inflorescence of this plant contains several flower heads with yellow disc and ray florets. Its fruit is an achene with a pappus that can grow up to a centimeter long. Pyrrocoma lanceolata is a widespread and variable plant, making it an important species in its native range.
