Matricaria occidentalis, commonly known as valley mayweed, is an annual plant native to North America in the family Asteraceae. It is 15–45 cm (5.9–17.7 in) high with conical, greenish yellow heads up to 1.5 cm (0.59 in) in diameter. It is used as a substitute for chamomile and is found in wetlands and non-wetlands in California and Oregon.
