Lessingia virgata, also known as wand lessingia, is a flowering plant found only in California. It has a woolly, glandular appearance and can grow up to 60 centimeters tall. The upper leaves are small, while the lower ones may have lobes or teeth. The flower heads are purple-tipped and contain light lavender to white disc florets. The fruit is an achene with a white pappus.
