Iva microcephala, also known as the piedmont marsh elder, is a type of flowering plant found in the southeastern United States. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and can grow up to 100 cm in height. Its leaves are long and narrow, and its flower heads are small and clustered at the ends of branches, with each head containing only a few flowers. This wind-pollinated annual herb is commonly found in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
