Hieracium attenboroughianum, also known as Attenborough's hawkweed, is a type of hawkweed found exclusively in the Brecon Beacons in south Wales. It was named after the renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough by taxonomist Tim Rich, who was part of the team that first discovered the species in 2004. This species is classified as a member of the H. britannicum group in the Hieracium section Stelligera Zahn and is closely related to H. britannicoides, but can be distinguished by its cupped, dark green leaves and sparse, medium simple eglandular hairs, as well as the presence of many glandular hairs on the involucral bracts. With only around 300 plants found on Old Red Sandstone mountain ledges on Cribyn, Attenborough's hawkweed is a rare and unique species.
