Eucephalus glabratus, also known as smooth aster, smooth wayside-aster, or Siskiyou aster, is a perennial herb found in North America. It can grow up to 60 centimeters tall and has hairless stems and leaves. The plant produces 3-8 flower heads per stem, each with violet ray florets and yellow disc florets. It is typically found at elevations of 700-2,300 meters in open areas within oak and conifer forests or chaparral in the Klamath Mountains of Oregon and California. According to NatureServe, it is classified as Apparently Secure globally and Vulnerable in California, but has no state status rank in Oregon.
