Elephantopus scaber is a flowering plant found in tropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Australia. It is commonly used in traditional medicine for various purposes such as treating eczema, rheumatism, and fever. The plant contains elephantopin, a compound that has anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains other bioactive compounds that have antibacterial effects. The plant has different varieties and subspecies, and is typically found in moist montane forests.
