Crocidium multicaule, also known as spring gold, is a small annual flowering plant in the daisy family. It typically grows up to 30 centimeters tall and has several tall, thin stems with a single flower head on each. The flower head consists of 5-13 lemon yellow ray florets and tiny bright yellow disc florets in the center. The plant is native to western North America and can be found in a variety of habitats, from grasslands to woodlands, mostly in dry open areas. Its fruits are small, fuzzy brown achenes that become sticky when wet.
