Crepis modocensis, also known as Modoc hawksbeard, is a flowering plant native to western North America. It can be found in various mountain and plateau habitats, particularly in rocky soil. The plant has an erect stem and dark-veined leaves with blunt and sharp lobes. Its flower heads are large and can have up to 60 yellow ray florets. The fruit is a black achene with a tufty white pappus. This species has several subspecies, including one that may have hybridized with another species to produce a new one.
