Chrysopsis latisquamea, also known as the pineland goldenaster, is a biennial herb found exclusively in Florida. It can reach heights of up to 70 cm and produces multiple yellow flower heads on a single stem. The plant grows in sandy areas in open brushlands. Its name is derived from the Latin words for "broad" and "scale," referring to its wide, scaly leaves.
