Arctotis venusta is a type of plant found in South Africa, belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is also known as silver arctotis, kusgousblom, and blue-eyed African daisy. This species is commonly used as an ornamental plant and has spread to other parts of the world, such as the United States, Australia, and Central and South America, where it has become a problematic weed. It is often grown as a ground cover due to its attractive silver foliage and colorful flower heads. It is a hardy perennial with woolly stems and distinctive lobed leaves. The flowers have a unique appearance, with creamy-white to pink or bronze ray florets and purple disc florets. The fruit is a hard achene with tufted hairs and pappus scales. While some consider it to be the same species as A. stoechadifolia, it is generally recognized as a separate species by most authors.
