Ajania rupestris, also known as iwa-inchin, is a flowering plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is native to Honshū, Japan and was first described in 1910 by Japanese botanists Matsumura and Koidzumi. In 1978, it was transferred to the Dendranthema genus by Kitamura, and then in 1983, it was transferred again to the Ajania genus by Muldashev. This plant can be found in the southern Tōhoku region to the Chūbu region of Japan.
