Agoseris glauca, also known as false dandelion, pale agoseris, prairie agoseris, and short-beaked agoseris, is a perennial herb native to western North America. It can grow up to 70 centimeters and produces a basal patch of leaves and a stem-like inflorescence with yellow ray florets. Its fruit is an achene with a pappus. This species can be distinguished from other false dandelions and true dandelions by its fruit. It is found in various habitats in western and northwestern North America and has been used by Plains Indians for its bitter milky juice.
