Agoseris apargioides, also known as seaside agoseris or seaside false-dandelion, is a species in the Asteraceae family. It is found along the Pacific coast of the United States, from Washington to central California, and is commonly found on coastal dunes. This low-growing, perennial herb has milky or orange sap and can either have no stem or long, rhizome-like stems that are buried by sand. Its leaves form low rosettes on the ground and can reach up to 15 centimeters in length with 3-5 pairs of lobes. The flower head is up to 2 centimeters wide and contains yellow ray florets, often with a purple strip on the lower surface. The fruit is an achene with a single seed and a slender beak that has a white pappus at the end. There are three recognized varieties of Agoseris apargioides, but they are not recognized by The Plant List.
