Agnorhiza ovata, also known as southern mule's ears, is a flowering plant native to southern California and Baja California. It can be found in various habitats such as forests, woodlands, and grasslands. This perennial herb has oval leaves and produces yellow flowers in an inflorescence. The plant can grow up to half a meter in height and has a thick taproot and caudex unit. Its fruit is an achene with a short pappus. Agnorhiza ovata is found in several counties in California and also in the Peninsular Ranges in Baja California.
