Podochilus australiensis, also known as the native stream orchid, is a type of epiphytic or lithophytic orchid found in tropical North Queensland. It has a fern-like appearance with glossy green leaves and clusters of dull white or greenish flowers. This plant was first described in 1886 and has since been used in horticulture, but requires specific conditions such as high humidity and warmth to thrive. It is typically found in humid forests near streams or on rotting logs and boulders.
