Habenaria vatia, also known as the curved rein orchid, is a species of orchid that is found only on a few islands in Queensland, Australia. It has a small number of leaves at its base and can produce up to twenty-five small white flowers with a long green and white nectary spur. This perennial herb grows up to 500 mm tall and blooms from December to January. It was first described in 2002 by David Jones, but its name was not officially published until 2015 by Michael Mathieson. The name "vatia" comes from a Latin word meaning "bent outward" or "bowlegged". This orchid is typically found in woodland areas with grasses and low shrubs on islands such as Moa Island. Due to its limited distribution, Habenaria vatia is considered a vulnerable species under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992.
